MAGIC Party FAQs
How soon should I book a party?
As soon as possible! Parties typically book up to two months in advance. It’s rare if we have availability without notice.
Why is the maximum amount of children 25 per gym party?
Your child’s well being is the important factor during parties. If we have too many kids, the gym becomes unsafe due to overcrowding. Also, our penthouse room gets uncomfortable when it gets overcrowded and makes it difficult to move around and serve the kids food.
I want to bring an ice cream cake…
Please don’t. We don’t have room in our mini fridge for a cake, and it won’t last the length of the party. We’ve seen too many puddles, followed by sad little faces.
Why can’t I have mixed ages at my party?
We want the children to have fun in a safe manner. Because they are going to be playing closely together, having an older child with a younger child is a safety hazard. We don’t want the little ones to get overtaken by the older child’s speed. On the flip side, an older kid may get frustrated having a younger child at the party, slowing things down to a crawl. (Literally)
My baby is under 18 months, why can’t they go in the big gym?
The big gym is set up for children who are at the developmental stage where they can walk on their own and listen to directions. The heights of some of the mats are too high for most babies under a year and a half. We don’t allow them in the gym because they will be tempted to climb on the equipment, and it’s not fair to them. We have a great baby gym that can be opened and run either simultaneously with your older child’s party or on its own.
Can I bring a photographer into the gym?
Absolutely! We have many people come back year after year, because their kids make such great memories at our parties. It’s great if you can get a professional to preserve the memories while you enjoy time with your children.
Can I have an entertainer come?
While we don’t allow entertainers into the gym, because it’s distracting and dangerous; however, we do allow entertainers in the party room. We do need to schedule additional time if this is the case. Serving food and cake usually takes thirty minutes, so a typical gym party doesn’t leave much room for entertainers.
Can I have live animals at the party?
Unfortunately having animals at kids’ parties isn’t a great mix. Even if the animals aren’t dangerous, some kids get too scared. If the animals get scared they sometimes make a mess, and sometimes they get hostile. Animals may also have bacteria such as E. coli, which can make kids sick.
Why don’t you allow piñatas?
It’s extremely difficult to control who gets to break the piñata, making for at least a few unhappy kids. When the piñata breaks, some kids will get candy and some miss out. The swinging of the stick is dangerous and unpredictable. As always, keeping your kids happy and safe are the most import items on our agenda the day of your party.
What does MAGIC mean anyway?
I didn’t see any magic. MAGIC is an acronym for Music Art Gymnastics Instruction Center. The only “magic” we make is to ensure your child leaves with a big smile and a little tired, (which usually brings parents a smile).
